Caravana Cultural |

The Caravana Cultural (Cultural Caravan) is an event organized by CECUT (The Tijuana Cultural Center) to promote interest in the arts, reading, and culture among youth. CECUT hosted the Caravana Cultural for our children, which consisted of two activities: storytelling and crafts. The storytelling activity included a story reenactment, where the facilitator narrated a story about the creation of the sun, using educational materials and fun interpretations. The children then made crafts, including paper masks. Thank you, CECUT, for hosting this workshop for the children in our communities! Mariachi Music |
![]() |
Mariachi music is a symbol of national pride, with lyrics and sounds rooted in the movements and cultural history of Mexico. First introduced to listeners by Mexican farm laborers in the 18th century, mariachi music is influenced by Indigenous, Spanish, and African music styles (Smithsonian Folkways Recording, 2025). Like poetry, mariachi music often tells the stories of social struggles, heartbreak, love, and joy. Today, mariachi music is loved by people from diverse backgrounds across the world.
