Join the Friends of Kara and Paul Conrad Build  and the Friends of Bartolini Build to volunteer in Mexico! Space for each build is limited to up to 30 volunteers so sign up before spots run out!

Community Member Highlight

Meet Ana!

Meet Ana! Ana is a Corazón scholarship student who is studying to become a language teacher. Ana has been studying English for two years and uses her class time to work on pronunciation and conversation in university. After she graduates, Ana plans to stay in the area to teach English. As a Corazón volunteer, Ana has volunteered as a Summer Camp leader and cooked for construction volunteers. She has also taught herself how to play the drums, piano, guitar, and how to sing!

Dia de los Muertos - Day of the Dead

Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is on November 2nd, however many people celebrate the holiday for multiple days. Dia de los Muertos is a special celebration reserved for honoring the life and death of those who have passed away. Loved ones welcome the souls of their deceased relatives and set up ofrendas, or offerings, so that they are welcomed with their favorite foods, and marigolds, so that they find their way back home.
