Any family member, 16 and older, who is actively participating in familia Corazón, is eligible to sign up for classes. Our classes include Computers, Sewing, Welding, Construction and Gardening. Computers, Sewing and Welding take place at our community center. Gardening takes place at each family's home garden and the community center gardens. Construction class takes place at various places around the village and at the Saturday project site.
We were getting so much gruff from younger kids wanting to take their own class, that we had to create a class for them. That's how our Bike Repair class came along. Taught by a local hombre, for 10-15 year-olds.
In the summer, we have Camp Corazón. We teach an entire series of kids' classes, ranging from computers to gardening, construction and English. All of this depends on your support, of course, so please volunteer to be a kids' class teacher or director now, so you will be ready to teach the kids of Corazón this summer!
