You can now help with the next generation of Blue Shirts. We have created a process for earning first a Red Shirt, and then a Blue Shirt. The Red Shirt signifies Blue Shirt apprentices. We want to be sure that all those who wear this shirt have truly earned it. Corazón will work with all volunteers to give them the opportunities to earn this coveted shirt
Once a volunteer receives a Red Shirt (RS) he is assigned a mentor. This mentor is a Corazón Blue Shirt (MBS). MBS will support the RS in their next 5 projects. The MBS will
ˇ make an initial, welcoming call to introduce themselves and review their interests
ˇ set up a day for the RS to volunteer. Mentors are not obligated to attend project with RS, however if they will not be there they should recruit another BS to be there.
ˇ call the RS before and after the project to review the day and get feedback
ˇ sign off on the Mentor Sheet and return to the Corazón office when completed
